About the position

BRAC USA seeks an intern with exceptional communication skills and a career interest in international development, digital marketing, or communications to help build brand awareness and mobilize resources for BRAC programs. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, a fast learner, organized and has a passion for all things digital!

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Senior Manager, the Digital Marketing Intern will work as an integral part of a small, highly effective communications team, and will also liaise closely with fundraising and program teams.

This is a paid, part-time, and remote internship, and the hourly rate will align with the state minimum wage. The ideal candidate will be able to work 15 hours per week, preferably with availability Monday - Friday during business hours. This internship will begin on or after January 21, 2025, and will continue for 15 weeks.

 

Areas of focus:

Website maintenance

  • Assist with regular updates to BRAC USA's website, including content updates, layout adjustments, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure website content aligns with organizational priorities, such as campaign launches and storytelling features.
  • Help optimize the site for user experience, accessibility, and search engine performance (SEO).
  • Support the integration of donation platforms and campaign tracking tools.

Digital Marketing

  • Assist with crafting and analyzing email marketing campaigns, including performance metrics like open rates and click-through rates.
  • Support the monitoring and performance of digital ad campaigns, including Google and Microsoft Ad Grants and paid campaigns.
  • Contribute to integrated digital fundraising campaigns across email, social media, and the website.

Collaboration and Learning

  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Senior Manager and the Communications and Individual Giving teams.
  • Gain exposure to nonprofit fundraising strategies and share creative ideas for digital engagement.
  • Learn and enhance skills using tools like WordPress, CRM databases, digital analytics dashboards, and email marketing platforms.

Qualifications

  • Preferred academic background: Undergraduate major in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Public Relations, English, or related fields.
  • Passion for digital marketing and international development, with alignment to BRAC’s mission.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote, fast-paced team environment.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and strategies, such as email marketing platforms, website content management (WordPress preferred), or social media.
  • Bonus skills: Experience with Salesforce, Google Analytics, or other CRM and analytics platforms.
